rear window film analysis
In the film Rear Window, the panning scene in the beginning had foreshadowed much of the plot for the film. By it starting out with a panning scene out of the window, it foreshadows that watching out the window will have a lot to do with the plot of the film. The main character in the film Mr. Thorwald is in a wheel chair throughout most of the film, which leaves him unable to freely move in his room. Since he is not really able to move, he mostly spent his time looking out the window. By him being by the window and watching, he was able to catch a man that had murdered his wife. The sound effects that the director, Alfred Hitchcock used helped with the visualization of parts of the film.
