I think it’s about the main character and how Ofelia's mind is lost in the realm of fairies. I think the theme of life and death would be a big part of the film since many people, as well as fairies end up dying. Another big part of the film is family, because the only family Ofelia had was her expecting mother. The film would fit into the genre of fantasy and or war since a majority of the film is dealing with fairies and them trying to help Ofelia get out of the place she is at. It also fits into the genre of war, because Ofelia’s mother married Captain Vidal who is leading a troop of soldiers in Spain during World War 2.
